- OABS has two registered professional valuers in our service with more than 36 years of experience in farm valuations including biological asset valuations. Over the years OABS has completed numerous valuations for a wide range of clients, including amongst others: ABSA, the Land Claims Commissioner, the Department of Land Affairs, Agricultural Research Council (ARC), and a host of agribusinesses, mega and individual farmers.
- Pine Pienaar was also responsible for the development of guidelines used by valuers in land claim cases, evaluation of the quality of valuations, as well as explaining the land claim valuations to the landowners. He also published the handbook “Farm Valuations in Practice” a handbook that is widely used by training facilities, including South African universities. He furthermore developed the Land Valuation course for the University of Cape Town and is still actively involved in presenting this course to professional valuation students.
